Salford Council unanimously approve luxury townhouse and apartment proposals
Elected Planning Panel Members in Salford have today unanimously approved outline planning permitted for 246 new homes, as proposed by Peterloo Estates
Following a brief recap of the proposals by the lead Planning Officer Tim Hartley, and no objectors present, the Panel Chair opened the debate to the floor. With no additional comment to added by Members the Chair moved swiftly to a recommendation to approve which was duly seconded and passed unanimously by the Committee.
"We couldn't have asked for a more textbook Committee hearing really. The Chair was keen to highlight that our proposals represented a bold and welcome addition to the Hulme Street area and they hope this project will be a catalyst for a new and thriving community there."
There is a second phase to the development to come forward in 2016 which will bring a further enhancement to the existing streetscape. More news on this will follow in due course.
The architect for the project is IBI, based in Handforth, and Manchester based DEP Landscape Architecture provided the overall landscape strategy.
